Born in 1983, Mathieu Leenaert has always been captivated by the world of art. His passion led him to pursue a master's degree in philosophy of art and aesthetics at the University of Ghent, followed by a year of study at the Faculty of Aesthetics at Helsinki University. During his academic journey, Mathieu not only delved deep into theoretical concepts but also began experimenting with street art. He explored the artistic and societal boundaries of various mediums, from spray cans and paint markers to needles and tattoo machines. After years of tattooing on the road, Mathieu settled in a private studio on the Belgian coast. A desire for a creative reset brought him back to his initial love: the spray can.
